AMB 2016 picking up speed Personnel change in Project Management and Communication Management for AMB / After reaching the registration deadline, numerous registrations have been received

The Project Management for AMB is changing. On 15 May 2015, Sabrina Sledzinski took over from her predecessor Sengül Altuntas as Senior Project Manager for AMB. There has also been a change in Communication Management for AMB. Already on 1 April, Wolfram Huonker,Communication Manager for Industrial Solutions, assumed responsibility for Marketing and Communication, replacing Silvia Stoll. The new team is meanwhile delighted with a clearly increased response from the exhibiting companies. By the closing of the registration period on 30 June 2015, Project Management had received a huge amount of registrations, which must be quickly processed over the coming weeks.

Sabrina Sledzinski has been at Messe Stuttgart since 2006; she previously held various project management positions in the business division Lifestyle & Leisure and in the Protocol Department in the area of communication. The new Project Manager for AMB is taking over from Sengül Altuntas, who is moving within the company to a new position as Team Leader in Customer Order Management. With Sabrina Sledzinski, the remaining Project Team with Romy Arnold, Nadine Trester and Nadja Weber is now again complete.

Wolfram Huonker is the new Communication Manager for AMB. He is in charge of the entire Marketing Communication and will promote the further development of themes, as well as smooth the way for the digital changes in the age of Industry 4.0. He has been at Messe Stuttgart since 2008, and was most recently in charge of Online Marketing. Wolfram Huonker is succeeding the previous Communication Manager Silvia Stoll.

"Our thanks go to Sengül Altuntas, who has performed excellently, again setting new records with AMB 2014. We also thank Silvia Stoll, who has supported AMB for many years, and played an important part in increasing awareness and significance of the international trade fair for metal working. We are therefore pleased to have gained in Sabrina Sledzinski an experienced Project Manager for the vacant position in AMB Project Management, who will continue the dynamic process together with the entire team. With Wolfram Huonker, we are closing the gap in Marketing Communication and further focussing the image of AMB", says Thomas Walter, Department Manager for Industrial Solutions at Messe Stuttgart, summarising the personnel changes.

The registration period for AMB 2016 closed on 30 June 2015. The new Project Team is delighted with the huge amount of registrations that were received up until the last day. In the coming months, the registrations must be processed, and then the placement suggestions for the stand areas for the entire trade fair site including free areas must be confirmed.

Ulrich Kromer, Management Representative for Messe Stuttgart, is responding to demands with a clear agenda: "For some years now, AMB has brought us to the limit of our capacities. Since we moved to our new trade fair site in 2007, we have almost doubled both the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors. In order to respond to requests for even more exhibition area, we have already started with the planning of a new, tenth trade fair hall. The approximately 15,000 additional square metres of the planned Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10) and the upgraded West Entrance should be available for AMB 2018."

Companies who registered by the closing date of 30 June 2015 will receive their placement suggestions over a period in late summer. Companies who did not register by the closing date can for the time being only be placed on the waiting list. Initial information on the waiting list move-up procedure will follow in autumn 2015.
