IZB 2020 Postponed – New Date Confirmed for the Trade Fair

The 11th International Suppliers Fair (IZB) has now been postponed due to the Corona pandemic and the resulting lack of planning reliability. As the event organiser, we have been working hard to develop scenarios for holding the IZB in October 2020 as planned ever since the outbreak of the pandemic. Given that the development of the pandemic and the accompanying official requirements are still difficult to predict, we are unable to reliably hold the IZB as planned this year.

We have therefore decided to postpone the IZB until 5th to 7th October 2021.

Our decision to so was based on intensive consultation with the responsible authorities and partners and strategic and economic consideration of all influencing factors. According to the City of Wolfsburg, it is likely that trade fairs, shows and exhibitions of this scale will still not be permitted in October. Our main priority, of course, is the health and safety of our exhibitors, trade visitors, employees and all other individuals involved in the event, as well as being able to hold an IZB that meets expectations in terms of its high quality.

“The IZB has now been around for 18 years and has never experienced a situation like this”, states Stefan Schiller, Head of the IZB at the company behind the event, Wolfsburg AG. “We are very sad to have to postpone the trade fair. This decision was not easy to make, but at present, it is without a doubt the right thing to do – especially with regard to our desire to make next year’s IZB a high-quality event for our exhibitors and visitors yet again. As per usual, we then want to make mobility innovations, internationality and personal contacts the main focus of the trade fair.” According to Schiller, “we are already looking forward to seeing our exhibitors, partners and trade fair visitors again at the IZB 2021 at the very latest.”
